    Discipline is an essential part of educating the "whole" child at Santa Lucia School.  Discipline is the student's ability to manage himself/herself within the limits set by school policies and common procedures.  There are general school rules as well as individual classroom rules for all students.  Teacher have the right to expect student behavior that will allow teachers to teach, and students to learn.  If a student chooses to break a rule, that student has also chosen to accept the consequences of his/her behavior.  The following discipline code reflect infractions and consequences.  The principal will be the final authority for judging whether a specific behavior constitutes a disciplinary action.

Any continual transgressions after a verbal warning will constitute your willingness to disregard authority/rules.  This will lead to severe consequences.
